Anonymous brings to light a hybrid warfare program of the United Kingdom in the EU

The Anonymous group has published documents on a clandestine operation led by the United Kingdom to create a large-scale secret information service in Europe.

According to the group of hackers, the operation was carried out under the pretext of countering the "Russian propaganda". Its main objective is "to provide a coordinated Western response to Russian misinformation and other elements of hybrid warfare".

The hackers have presented documents that shed light on the activities of an NGO Integrity Initiative based in London that officially has a noble mission: "Defend democracy against misinformation". Instead, the project, known as the Integrity Initiative, was used by the United Kingdom to interfere in the internal affairs of European countries through hidden contacts in British embassies.

The project's activities include the Moncloa operation in Spain, which was supposedly launched earlier this year to prevent Pedro Baños, a colonel known for his pro-Russian sympathies, from being appointed as Spain's new National Security Director.

According to the documents published by Anonymous, the Spanish integrity initiative group launched a campaign on Twitter in June 2018 to agitate the media and encourage Spanish political parties to ask the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to change your decision about the appointment of Baños.

Also, according to the hackers, the president and co-founder of the investment fund Hermitage Capital Management, the British William Browder, and Vladimir Ashurkov, who supports the Russian opponent Alexei Navalni, were funded by the Integrity Initiative.

Anonymous claims that British intelligence is capable of similar operations in France, Germany, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Norway, Serbia and Montenegro.

The Integrity Initiative has an annual budget of 2.4 million dollars and consists of groups of local politicians, journalists, military personnel, scientists and academics. The team is dedicated to finding and publishing alleged evidence of Russian interference in European affairs and, at the same time, influencing community policy.

The hackers' information on the actions of the British special services against Russia requires a thorough investigation. The Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty will analyze the data just published. This was stated by Konstantin Kosachov, chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Council of the Russian Federation.
