How to listen to the music of your Google Home on a Bluetooth speaker

Let's see the other way we have to squeeze Bluetooth from Google speakers.

If you have a good sound system or speaker with Bluetooth it is a pity to use the Google Home loudspeaker to listen to music, since its sound quality is low, especially in the Mini version. But fortunately Google Home allows us to pair a speaker or Bluetooth headset to listen to your music.

Connect a Bluetooth speaker to Google Home

If we want to listen to the music of our Google Home in a Bluetooth headset or speaker we have to perform these steps:

  • Open the Google Home application on your mobile.
  • Tap the Google Home speaker that you want to pair via Bluetooth.
  • Tap the gear icon to enter Speaker Settings.
  • Go to Default music speaker.
  • Tap Link Bluetooth speaker.
  • Touch the Bluetooth device when it appears on the screen. It will be linked to your Google Home speaker.
  • Touch READY.

After performing these steps, our Bluetooth speaker will already be configured as the default for listening to music. The answers from the Google Assistant will be heard in our Google Home but the music and audio will be heard on the Bluetooth speaker until we re-select our Google Home as the default speaker. We can use all the voice commands to control the playback and volume in the Bluetooth speaker.

If we have created a group of speakers the music will be heard on the Bluetooth speaker instead of the associated Google Home. You can not listen to the music at the same time on the Google Home loudspeaker and on the linked Bluetooth speaker.
